The Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS) degree equips graduates with the essential knowledge and skills to pursue a wide range of career opportunities. As a Naturopath, professionals can expect to work with diverse clients, including pregnant women, children, individuals with chronic health issues, those dealing with acute conditions, and people experiencing stress from high-pressure careers.

The primary goal of a Naturopath is to improve a patient's overall health in a gradual and gentle manner, guiding them to make specific lifestyle changes that promote long-term well-being. Treatment approaches focus on the body as a whole, addressing physical, emotional, and mental aspects of health.

Many Naturopaths choose to work in private practice as holistic health practitioners, therapeutic yoga experts, or acupuncture specialists. They can also join group practices in multi-specialty hospitals or collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Career opportunities are also available in wellness centers, nutrition centers, hospitals, and healthcare facilities as consultants.

Additional career avenues include roles in academia, community health services, social welfare, and the manufacture and sale of naturopathic products. Many Naturopaths also run health retreats or engage in public health education. There is a growing demand for Naturopaths in the education sector, where they can work as faculty members at universities and medical colleges.

Graduates also have ample opportunities for further studies, including pursuing M.D., M.S., or Ph.D. programs. Those interested in research and development can explore research positions. Additionally, there are opportunities for Naturopaths to serve as Medical Officers through the Medical Services Recruitment Board (MRB) of the Government of Tamil Nadu, and in many other states.

Our dynamic internship program provides students with invaluable practical experience and equips them with the necessary skills to thrive in today’s interconnected global healthcare landscape. The Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) offers students the opportunity to gain real-world experience through structured work placements. It allows them to learn from industry experts and apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, thereby enhancing their understanding of the subject.

The program is designed to offer hands-on experience in health service organizations, where students actively participate in management tasks and apply essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, relationship management, and data analysis.

During the internship, students work in different departments for specified durations, gaining exposure to a wide range of healthcare practices. The internship provides an opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  • Review medical records, questionnaires, lab results, and assessments.
  • Ensure that supplies and staff are prepared before patient appointments.
  • Oversee daily medical supervision.
  • Supervise patients’ treatment programs.
  • Conduct follow-up phone consultations.
  • Research medical conditions and write articles on relevant topics.
